“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Cor. 5:17
Happy Holidays! We are preparing for one of the biggest events of the year for our church- Thanksgiving dinner! We use this as an outreach tool and many people who do not attend at other times will join us.
Please send us a Christmas card! Mail here is very unreliable so take a photo of it and email it to us! We will print them out and hang them in our home- we love hearing from all of you. It does us such good to know you are praying for us and we could write a long list of times when we have felt your prayers in specific situations.
Thank God for Family Mission Trips!
We have been blessed by THREE FAMILIES coming down in the past month. The Sassenbergs from Knoxville, TN (our hometown!!!), the McDermott's from North Dallas, TX, and the Frazier's from Tyler, TX. Alex & Natasja Sassenberg came with their three children and helped with everything from construction of bathrooms at a local feeding program to fixing stairs for a single mom to bilingual training to sewing classes for the ladies in the colonia. See pics! Julie & Jerry McDermott came down and helped with the bathroom project as well as at the orphanage and delivered much needed supplies for many ministries both here and on the mainland! It was wonderful getting to know them! Eric & Misty Frazier are currently in for two weeks helping with the final touches on the bathroom project as well as other projects around the church. They are also helping to teach children at Mazapan Bilingual School and are working on raising sponsors for the kids there for this much needed ministry. Each of these families gave up regular vacations and gave of themselves, their resources, time and talents to further the Kingdom of God! Would you pray about coming and partnering with us for your next vacation.
Rainy Season & Coffee Ministry
Rainy Season has begun which brings cooler temperatures and the occasional rain shower. (Usually not more than a day or two a week) It has also brought high season and a return of many much needed jobs to the island from increased cruise ship visits. Our coffee ministry has been slow but is now picking up and we have sold a good amount of coffee in the States. It has allowed us not only to employ single moms but also to provide clothing, mattresses, home repairs for our ladies as well! Thank you to all who buy their coffee from us! YOU CAN ORDER ONLINE HERE.
Tish
Tish continues to do therapy with children at the orphanage and is excited to see some real change in them. God is so faithful! She is also counseling families in difficult situations at Ms. Peggy's clinic. She is also juggling home school teaching, ministry projects, behavior therapy with kids from the children's home, teaching a ladies Bible study, and much much more. She has seen great answered prayers and God moving in incredible ways. Now is a very busy time and we are looking forward to home school breaking for Christmas!
Travis
We have seen many answered prayers this month, including a baptism of a young man that we have been praying for and ministering to for over a year. God is so good! We are always amazed to see his sovereign hand at work. Travis is continuing to preach at R Church and we have had many new faces in the last two months! We have elected elders and are working on installation of them in January. We have finished going through the book of John and are now studying the book of Acts! This is perfect as we seek to be a Biblical church here ministering to people from every tribe, people and nation. Did you know that there are 8 languages spoken on the island here by just the locals. We have started a pick up in Flowers Bay, an Islander community to make it possible for them to come to church and are doing a baptism there on Tuesday. We are now preparing for our Thanksgiving Potluck which is one of our big outreach events. Please pray for the church and the ministry here!

Next Trip!
Tish and the kids will be coming to the states in May for a month and Travis for two weeks. We will miss our family for the holidays but look forward to seeing them soon. Travis's sister and mother are coming to Roatan in February and we are very excited!
