“You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drip with abundance." Psalm 65:11

We are a bit behind in our newsletters, but we assure you for good reason. We certainly pray your new year has begun well. We feel we have been in a whirlwind of activity since December...

A couple December highlights:

  • In December, we were blessed to help with other members of our church in assisting with a special trip to Roatan for 21 orphans from the mainland. We got to love on them and do many fun activities with them. We even had a spaghetti dinner at our house in the dark- due to another power outage! (We just have to laugh sometimes at the timing of these!)
  • We organized a feeding at the local dump (top left photo) where several families work sorting trash to find recyclables to sell. They were very happy and surprised to get this hot meal from people who just wanted to wish them a merry Christmas in Jesus name. Our church family served over 100 meals of Arroz Con Pollo (Chicken with rice).
  • 3 days later our church youth did the same thing at the local public hospital feeding over 120. They don't feed patients there so it was a much needed effort especially at Christmas. The local public hospital has no running water and is not what you think of in terms of a hospital but it has a very hard working staff that does so much with so little.
  • The next day was our Sunday Christmas service with special music from Ella and the praise team.
  • Two days later was our Christmas Eve Service with more special music and snacks afterward.
  • The next day we collapsed and enjoyed a relaxing Christmas celebrating our Savior's birth!

In January & February:
Our friends from Baltimore, Debi & Jonathan Coleman, came down for a month and helped out with construction, bilingual training, youth events and much more!
We have been through many repairs of cars in the last few months. The island weather and poor roads are very hard on cars so pray for fewer repairs this year!

Travis was blessed to take two men through Seminary level training over the last 6 months. They just left a few weeks ago for additional year long seminary training in El Salvador and will return as pastors to go where God calls them. Pray for these men as they are led by the Lord. We are praying and helping teams as they prepare for coming in 2014. It looks like we will be assisting with four teams so far as well as a Missions Cruise doing a work project here. Travis has also helped with numerous construction projects funded by generous supporters and through our Missions Coffee funding.

Travis continues to preach each Sunday and is currently teaching through the book of Acts. It is such a powerful book and we have all learned so much.
We are happy to report our church is continuing to grow and we are installing 3 elders this month.

Tish is continuing to work with the orphanage providing activities for teen girls and behavior therapy for some kids who need extra help. It is a privilege to love on these kids.
She is also seeing more people for counseling one day a week. She has been able to assist in many crisis situations on the island and is literally saving and restoring lives in Jesus name.

Ella just celebrated a whole year of leading worship at our church through her wonderful keyboard playing. We really do not know what we would do without her!
All of the kids are plugging along in homeschool. They are looking forward to meeting lots of missionary kids at the Honduran Fellowship of Missionaries retreat coming up
in March. This will be a neat time of worship and refreshing for all of us. Please pray for our safe travel as it is in Siguatepeque on the mainland of Honduras.
Tish has offered her counseling services as needed and we pray that we might be a blessing to all those who are serving here and on the mainland.

Eli, Zach and Heather are excelling in their Spanish and correcting my Spanglish. ;)

We were so happy to have a visit from Travis's mom and sister this month! It was their first trip and they had a great time seeing where we live and several of the ministry areas. We hope they return soon!

COFFEE
Our coffee ministry is growing too as we have been added to a large grocery store here. Thank you Lord! When you order coffee- you are helping support a real family with very real needs.
We just delivered 40 bags of fresh coffee back to the states. You can order online by clicking here!

Please pray!
We are continuing to pray the Lord would provide land for an actual church site. We currently meet in a resort which limits what we are able to do. There are some possible sites nearby so one never knows what might happen. Travis is looking for the next group of men to take through seminary training. Also, please pray for two of our church families who have recently taken in Honduran orphans- their last names are Neighbors and Anderson. They are truly living out the gospel.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. We truly feel them.

We thank God for each of you and appreciate your prayers and support! May God bless you richly!

En Cristo,
Travis, Tish, Ella, Zachary, Heather and Eli
